My Story
Making Peace
of the Pieces
Her personal story and the events that accompanied her life shaped her personality and method of interaction, communication, and passion. Devorah grew up in a completely secular family in Bat Yam, to a mother who came from a home of Holocaust survivors, and to a father who grew up in foster
care. When Devorah reached the age of 4, her parents left Israel for Brooklyn, New York, where Devorah first discovered her spiritual roots.
As most Jews did, Devorah suffered anti-Semitic abuse from her friends at the public school she attended. The frequent fights, fascinating struggles, and inner courage she learned to harness culminated in a decision at the tender age of 12 to change her life and adopt an ultra-Orthodox Jewish way of life and customs.
Her introduction to that began with a visit to an ultra-Orthodox home in Brooklyn where she saw the true meaning of life and expectations of her abilities.
is a spell-binding one… one which made Devorah a sought-after lecturer from the age of 14. She has since traveled internationally to hundreds of Jewish communities providing the spark of faith that her audiences hunger for. Each lecture and meeting with those in need of her guidance helped to strengthen and shape her character and faith.
Following employment as a social counselor, helping and assisting religious girls who left religion and degenerated into drugs and other problems, Devorah decided to expand her mission as she made her first Aliyah to Israel.
Devorah certainly had a hectic and challenging time growing up… but with challenges come experiences faced, lessons learned and personal growth obtained.
Devorah’s life would take another challenge head-on. She got married and subsequently divorced within a few years. In the midst of that turmoil, she became pregnant and faced an additional ordeal – the doctors identified a serious illness in the fetus and she was told to terminate the pregnancy in her seventh month. It was almost too much to bear.
Seeing how so much of her life until then was being directed from above, Devorah brought the question to a well-known rabbi who prayed on it and sympathetically instructed her to give birth to her son, contrary to the recommendations of doctors. Miraculously, the child was born safe and sound… as was Devorah’s belief in divine providence.

Devorah got divorced and found herself back at her parent’s house with two small children under the age of 4. The divorce and the return to her parent’s home had made Devorah very sad, and she soon saw this as a time to learn and improve on her character flaws. People can easily become sad over things that seem to be punishments…but are in truth “tests” and opportunities for growth.
So, Devorah searched for answers, wisdom, and techniques from the world of Chasidic leaders and the mystical teachings in Kabballah. She discovered a vast treasure cove of insights, understandings, and practices that unleashed tremendous power in controlling one’s thoughts and feelings, bringing peace and tranquility to a life of confusion. Devorah learned that the proper management of one’s thoughts and feelings can indeed bring happiness and satisfaction if applied correctly.
With this new knowledge,
Devorah started giving courses, webinars, and lectures all over the world: Moscow, Canada, Israel, Poland (Lizhensk, Lublin), and throughout the US (Florida, Kansas, New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Pittsburg and more…)
Each lecture brought more insight and clarity in how she could improve the quality of life for others suffering with personal problems and challenges.
The “Devorah Sisso Experience” has not slowed down…indeed it has developed into a proven method of personal awareness and spiritual perpetuation. There is so much beauty in Devorah’s world, that the first time speaking and meeting with her, become a soul-soothing experience.
Her deep understanding of scriptural teachings and theological wisdom have become the structure behind her inspirational lessons and the tools she uses to change the lives of those she touches.
see life as being complicated. She sees life as a chess board – an opportunity to map out each move strategically and rewardingly. Over the years, Devorah developed and refined a unique method, based on the sublime and sacred ideas of Jewish sources, and turned them into the pawns, rooks, and queens needed to tackle any situation and eventually “win the game”. To be a part of Devorah Sisso’s life source is literally a life-changing experience. It is a first step into what life was meant to be and a blueprint for how to get there.
Devorah dedicated her life to connecting with others and making the wonderful Jewish spirituality available to all who know where to find it. Let Devorah coach you – body and soul – toward a better tomorrow, and to the spirituality within you.
