About the author:

Tomer Devorah was written by the holy sage, Rav Moshe Cordovero, aka the “RaMak”. He was the teacher of Rabbi Isaac Luria (the Arizal) and was known for his detailed works on Kabbalistic texts that few have been gifted to understand. He was one of the most celebrated Kabbalists of all time. The RaMak is known for writing Tomer Devorah (“The Palm Tree of Devorah”), in which he utilizes the Kabbalistic concepts of the “13 Middos Ha’Rachamim” (13 Divine Attributes) to illuminate a system of morals and ethics.

According to recent studies 1 out of every 6 or 8 couples suffers from infertility. I was one of them. After a first failed fertility cycle, I signed up for Devorah's course. Instead of the traditional "davening" I was taught to treat Hashem as my friend, someone who I can trust and confide in, someone who I can ask, and trust that He has my best interests at heart, and someone who I could believe would make it happen if it was meant to be. Here I am sitting 8 months pregnant, transitioning from fertility Dr to obgyn. I look at the ultrasound pictures and think OH MY GOSH IS THIS FOR REAL?! IS THIS REALLY INSIDE OF ME?! and then the morning sickness kicks in and I can say Hodu Lahashem Ki Tov. yes this is real. I wanted it, I believed in it, and Hashem made it happen. Devorah gave me the skills to be able to handle the hurdles thrown at me in life.
