Victor Schœlcher (F 725) / Commandant Riviére (F 733) FM-2The series of 9 Avisos escort ships, including the Victor Schlcher (first ship to be commissioned) and the Commandant Rivire, was built between 1957 and 1963. Air conditioned ships designed for representation and escort in the most varied climates, they could receive a high ranking personality, or a senior officer and his staff, or briefly transport a commando of 80 men.
