Papa Bear Chair, 1951 OttomanThe model AP 19 Papa Bear Chair, designed in 1951, is one of Hans Wegner's most iconic designs and arguably the most comfortable armchair produced during this period in all of Denmark. This example was made by A. P. Stolen in Copenhagen, owned and managed by the upholsterer Anker Petersen. It features stunning teak paws with oak legs. The chair has been reupholstered in luxurious cotton wool blend textured fabric. The wood parts have been refinished

They were designed by the company's owner and senior cabinetmaker Alfred Kristensen

His first attempt at developing the historical furniture type was produced by Johannes Hansen

This example has a rosewood frame and was produced by cabinetmaker Magnus Olesen in Denmark
