I related the pandemic and other issues currently facing the world to universal fears that follow us from childhood - a reminder of the fact that we can’t control life and that our future can truly never be known

I wanted to create something that transformed these objects into an artifact that testifies to human existence in a specific place and time

and an Irish-Italian sixth-generation descendant of Californian emigrants

artist and observer all join together to engender an emotional response based on each of their own uncertain places in the world
