Large 19th Century Marble & Slate Snail Paperweight InteriorsAn unusual Victorian carved marble and slate paperweight of large proportions, depicting a snail amongst a plant with its head hidden behind a leaf. The paperweight is a fantastic looking piece with the snail finely carved in high relief with exceptional attention to detail throughout. There are knocks to the ebonised frames in places but overall the set really does display very well indeed

The bowl is of flat square form with wide relief corners

The cane work remains in a very good condition throughout
