Lava - Small orangeThis small porcelain lamp has been impressed with a variety of lentils and glazed red. I wanted to make a lamp that gave out a really hot red glow, something reminiscent of lava or a hearth fire. As a child I was fascinated when my Dad use to build fires in our sitting room hearth. As a vase this porcelain vessel creates an elegant central table display

It would look great in any living area -  on a side table or mantle piece creating a warm relaxing glow when lit

It has been impressed with olive leaves collected from my friend's garden and glazed with colours to reflect them

They have been collected from local woodland here in St Leonards

I have then glazed it to try and give a feeling of the wildness of the Blue Bell woods

The 'Feathery Grasses' plate has been inspired by nature

The colour was chosen to accentuate the pattern of the flowers
