In 30 years of dealing I have not seen such fantastic full pile on this kind of Ziegler

made as a coverlet in Turkey during the 18th century

once under Ottoman rule

and in excellent original condition

It is faithfully reproduced using handspun wool and naturally dyed yarns

zero repairs and an incredible colour that fluctuates before the eyes

Woven in the traditional tribal style

They usually sell themselves quite quickly although this one has a very unusual size

with wool pile that is the equal in shine and glow

and looks certain to be a much cherished antique of the future
